Pero hoy la conversación cambió por completo. Las operaciones industriales ya no necesitan solamente conectividad: necesitan infraestructura capaz de responder en tiempo real, segmentar tráfico crítico, reducir latencia y mantener continuidad operacional incluso en ambientes extremos.

Y ese cambio está transformando el rol de los switches industriales dentro de la industria.

Porque actualmente una red OT puede estar administrando sensores, sistemas SCADA, cámaras, telemetría, monitoreo ambiental, comunicación crítica y automatización simultáneamente. Todo al mismo tiempo y muchas veces en operaciones donde detenerse no es opción.

La pregunta entonces ya no es si existe conectividad. La verdadera pregunta es otra: **¿la red industrial está preparada para sostener decisiones críticas en tiempo real sin comprometer estabilidad operacional?**

Ese escenario está impulsando una nueva generación de infraestructura OT más inteligente, resiliente y preparada para entornos industriales complejos.
