Durante mucho tiempo, una red industrial cumplía una tarea relativamente simple: conectar dispositivos y mantener comunicación entre sistemas. Si funcionaba de forma estable, era suficiente.

Pero las operaciones industriales actuales ya no operan bajo esa lógica.

Hoy una red OT sostiene monitoreo en tiempo real, automatización, videovigilancia, telemetría, comunicación crítica, acceso remoto y sistemas SCADA funcionando simultáneamente. En ese escenario, una interrupción no afecta solamente la conectividad. Puede afectar capacidad de reacción operacional completa.

Y ahí aparece un nuevo concepto que está tomando fuerza en la industria: resiliencia de red.

No se trata únicamente de evitar fallas. Se trata de que la infraestructura pueda responder, reorganizarse y mantener continuidad incluso cuando ocurren problemas inesperados.

La pregunta es cada vez más relevante en minería, energía y automatización industrial: **¿qué tan rápido puede recuperarse una red OT cuando la operación depende completamente de ella?**

Ese cambio está impulsando nuevas exigencias sobre switches industriales, redundancia Ethernet, administración centralizada y monitoreo avanzado de red.

Según IDC, el gasto mundial en transformación digital industrial seguirá creciendo sostenidamente hacia 2027, impulsado principalmente por automatización, edge computing e infraestructura OT resiliente. Más automatización significa también más dependencia de redes preparadas para operar bajo presión.

En Chile y Perú, esta tendencia ya se refleja en proyectos mineros, energéticos e industriales donde las redes OT dejaron de ser infraestructura secundaria y comenzaron a transformarse en parte crítica de la operación.

Por eso tecnologías como las soluciones de **networking industrial MOXA** están evolucionando hacia arquitecturas más inteligentes y resilientes, incorporando redundancia de red, recuperación rápida ante fallas, administración remota y protocolos industriales preparados para ambientes hostiles.
